Angers is a city in the Maine-et-Loire department in the north west of France located about 300 km of Paris. Angers is situated in the Pays de la Loire region and its inhabitants are called Angevins. Angers, the capital of the historic province of Anjou, is considered one of the most beautiful cities in France. 

It is located on both banks of the Maine, which are connected by six bridges. The area along the river is well known for its nurseries and market gardens. It is also famous for its fresh products and flowers. Also, having more than 300 km waterways and 250 km of footpaths, Angers offers a large range of different activities to its visitors as well as to the locals.
