Tourism Albertville

The City of Albertville was created in 1836, according to the decision of King Charles Albert, who wanted to bring together two communities: Hospital and Conflans by the name of Albertville.

Thus, it is possible to admire the old town of Conflans, a medieval city, which has well-preserved its buildings like the castle, its old houses, etc.. This ancient village is also visible from the place of Europe Albertville, cultural center of the city, which offers a panoramic view of the ancient city.

With a walk in the city, the visitor can admire the Town Hall, a neo-classical richly decorated which was completed in 1871 after completing eight years of work. Other buildings were built at that time: the sub-prefecture which was the first of France, the courthouse is now the home of the Olympics or the station.

Albertville in 1992, was the host city for the Winter Olympics. Plenty of walking and hiking are accessible from this beautiful city.
