Sainte-Croix Door
First called Porte Dauphine and used to be one of the entries of the city.

Old hotel of the champagne intendants
Today head house of the Champagne-Ardenne region and the Marne.
A part of the buildings and the main courtyard were built in the 18th century. On June 22, 1791, coming back from Varennes, Louis XVI and the royal family spent the night there before reaching Paris. The first Préfet of the Marne, Bourgeois de Jessaint worked there from 1800 to 1838.

The circus (end of the 18 th century )
This old town circus, completed in 1899, sheltered the National Centre for Circus Arts since 1985. About twenty students are welcomed here each year to learn about circus . The learning is based on three main ideas: artistic, technical conscience of the circus and creation.

Sainte-Marie convent
Originally dedicated for the girls education, this strong construction from the 17th century became Grand Seminar in the 19th century. The restoration (done by the Marne administration) combines harmoniously stones, bricks and chalks.

Place de la République
During the 9th century, Châlons became a prosperous agricultural market. To extend the Gallo-Roman enclosure, a square was created between the Nau and Mau streams. From the Middle Ages until the 19th century, it was named Place du Marché au Blé , then became Place de la République in 1884.
