Discover the lanouaille region

The Auvezere is a picturesque tributary of River Isle. Winding through the Correze Plateau, it gets into narrow gorges from 'La Forge de Savignac-Ledrier'. The many water falls such as Saut-Ruban and Saint-Mesmin add to the charm of the river.

The Puy des Ages site also called 'monadnock' is one of the two 'Espaces Naturels Sensibles' (protected natural sites) of the Dordogne, located at the very north east of the department, straddling the towns of Saint-Cyr-les-Champagnes and Saint-Mesmin.

Most farmers and entrepreneurs will welcoming you in their farms and workshops if you ask for a visit. Some even have the duty to promote and explain the farming industry to many people:

The Forge of Savignac-Ledrier is one of the most ancient of the Perigord and also one of the rarest that can not be dated. A socio-economical system of three main parts called: Forge; Castle, Reserve.

Rouffiac's water sports centre in Perigord is located on 4 towns and villages:

Lanouaille, Angoisse, Payzac, Savignac-Lédrier, Le Chalard.

Rouffiac artificial lake is one of the largest in Perigord, it is bordered by woodlands of about 100 ha. the park has been designed so to meet and please anyone's demand. The centre is an ideal place for a family stay and offers many activities such as swimming, wakeboard, water ski, teleski and so on.
