Bourgoin-jallieu

Located at the crossroads of the great agglomerations Lyons and Grenoble-native, near the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport, Bourgoin-Jallieu, town of 25.000 inhabitants, a strategic place in the middle of the Rhone-Alpes area occupies. With 72 clubs and sports associations gathering 10.000 bachelors, the sport constitutes one of the identity signatures of the city. The boxer Brahim Asloum, Olympic champion in 2000 and world champion in the category light flyweights, the rugby player Stephan Knell, the handballer Stephan Stoecklin are Berjalliens while the CS Bourgoin-Jallieu, which disputes the Signal 14 of Rugby, constitutes the most beautiful floret of it on the collective level. The radiation of the city also appears by its linked activity with the “intelligent” textiles and by its photovoltaic industrial die of reference; but also by demonstrations of scale as the Electrochoc festival which interferes all the styles electronic music and a cultural policy symbolized by work “Dart Object” of Bertrand Lavier. The artist pays there homage to Frederic Dard, truculent native with through in particular of the adventures of the police chief San-Antonio.

Since 1995, the discovery of our inheritance is facilitated by the creation of 23 commemorative plaques affixed at the places most representative of the city. They testify to the description of the urban perimeter increased and modified by long and difficult succession of events which lead to our history.

The city at the time of Allobroges, the Romans and Burgondes, its origins in the Middle Ages… a walk of 2:30 through the history which will enable you to discover the vestiges of the feudal time. Evil of Burning with the Plague, like the evocation of the large religious currents of the XI at the XVII centuries, the Revolution and the economic advancement of the city at the XIX century.

This walk will lead you to the inn of the Fountain d'or, at Anglancier of Saint-Germain, then in Rosière on the tomb of Luc-Antoine de Champagneux, in Maubec with the meeting of the Marchioness of Césarges and the farm of Montquin.

The pond of Rosière is located at the North-East of the town of Bourgoin-Jallieu in extreme cases of the commune of Ruy. It is extended on a surface approximately 16000 m ². This pond, supplied with the brook of Loudon, was built at the 18th century in order to supply a mill with hemp ( current restoring). This pond was the property of family GENIN a long time before being repurchased by the commune of Bourgoin-Jallieu in 1978. From the town of Bourgoin-Jallieu very implemented to make of this site a place of walks, excursions and a place of fishing.

The association " Friends of Rosière and Nature" animate a piscicultural activity and a sensitizing with nature. The pond is opened with all: if you want to fish the charts are on sale on the spot near one of the 4 guards: Alain Bel, Michel Janin, Bernard Sylvain, Denis Clement. Children of less than 12 years accompanied d' an adult can fish free. Carps, pikes, trouts, pike perch, black-bass, poles, crackling, tenches, sturgeons can be fished in Rosière of March 7, 2009 (date of the grand opening of fishing) at December 31, 2009. The adult fishing permit costs 40 € for l' year or 5 € at the day. The association also organizes throughout year various animations: Contest of fishing reserved to the women and the children in June, day member in September, fishing of night in June and October, day pikes in November, safari trouts, etc…

Born from Berg-Osio (Door of the mountains) and from Jaliacum (spouting out Water), Bourgoin-Jallieu is the crossroads of important valleys.

Its history goes back to more than twenty centuries and its development is based on the control of the water at agricultural and industrial ends. Bourgoin-Jallieu is  today a Simportant pole of Isere North, French capital of the photoengraving.
