Details

The town of Meximieux has a pleasant and healthy position, at a few kilometers of the river of Ain. It was located primarily on the Coastal one, but after the construction of the Royal Road, it is extended towards the Plain.

It is sprinkled in the west by the brook Longevent, which runs then on the commune of Pérouges where it is lost, and in the east by Surin, known as sometimes Bovagne. It moves in the river of Ain on 200 m.

Hiking in Meximieu

Meximieu offers taking into consideration passer by colors chatoyantes and varied all year. The city obtained its first Fleur national in 2002 and the second in 2004.

This is the keen work of the private individuals, municipality and Committee of Fleurissement which allows all to appreciate the poetry of the Flowers.

Walk around the castle and the Aubépin

Each year a new history, a new adventure and a new course for this giant and natural labyrinth installed in a corn field of 8 hectares.

Discovering a tale, small and large build the screen of the history step by step and choose a way in the mazes of the course.

The surprises are also discovered at the bottom of the dead ends in the form of pledges. And for most daring it is the night that they will be able to discover the labyrinth.
