Parthenay museum


Municipal Museum of Parthenay is baptized Georges Turpin museum. Georges Turpin was a collector and art lover, tinman and lamplighter of his condition, who bequeathed to his hometown throughout his collections.

Municipal Museum of Parthenay was inaugurated in 1935 it was previously in the old rectory Saint Laurent before being transferred to the City Hall in 1949.

Municipal Museum of Parthenay is today in the House of Cultures Country.
