Cité de l'Image

The museum of the image and l'Imagerie d'Epinal are gathered in the Cité de l'Image. The museum of the image displays a collection of 110 000 images, lithographies, and wood engravings. Through exhibitions, the museum asks contemporary artists to give their own interpretation of the tackled issue.

Their works are exposed in response to the collections of images of museum. L'Imagerie d'Epinal which was created in the XVIIIth is still active today. The museum has several equipments(audioguides, interactive terminal) in order to help the understanding of the very numerous popular images kept in the establishment. L'Imagerie d'Epinal allows to discover workshops and techniques of manufacturing the images.
