Musée René Descartes
René Descartes was born in the Hague in Touraine on March 31st 1596. The building is its place of birth and is dating from the 16th century. It was turned into a museum in 1974. This simple, clear and accessible exposure is completely devoted to the famous father of modern philosophy. This museum, increased in 2005 and transformed thanks to a rich, coloured and accessible scenography, evokes the life and the work of the philosopher, and brushes a historical and cultural panorama of the time (Rebirth and 17th century).

Open from March 16th to November 21st every day of 14:00 to 18:00 except Tuesday (in wintry time on go for the groups)
