Crèche in cadenet

This Provençal tradition, anchored in our village for a very long time, brings together young and old in a great moment of sharing and communion.

The procession begins at 4 p.m. from the church square and wanders through the streets of the village to reach the site of the castle where in the troglodyte caves the Nativity and various Provençal paintings will be recreated: the basket makers' workshop - the table of 13 desserts – the fruit and vegetable stall – the fishmonger.

Other scenes such as the gypsy camp, the washerwomen, the grinder, the miller and his mill, the hunters' cabin, the sheep park will guide visitors to the buffet where mulled wine and game will be served.

Animals, to the delight of young and old, accompany the procession: camels carrying the Three Wise Men, the ox and the donkey.
