Tourism Trôo

Trôo is situated in the department of Loir-et-Cher and region Centre. While following sides of the Loir, Trôo profiles heights of its cliff on the horizon. This small city to the long historic past is the capital undisputed of the troglodyte in Loir-et-Cher.

The part that counts the oldest vestiges is probably the walk " Rue haute ". It's on this steepness that opened up until the end of the last century, the entrance of a singular, church built in the cliff. This small chapel, today destroyed, was known under the vocable of Saint-Gabriel and attracted to Trôo many pilgrimages.

This rural life, on the tourist route of the Loire Valley, is conductive to walking, cycling, boating and dreaming. Trôo is located 200 kms from Paris and 50 kms from the chateaux of the Loire Valley.
