Welcome to colmars

Colmars les Alpes, in the valley of the Haute Verdon, is a very pretty village of mountain. The old wall surrounding is always upright, and in excellent state. Doors (Door of Savoy, Carries France) face forts built by Vauban. North the Fort of Savoy and the south the Fort de France, reminds that the city was a strategic place when France and Savoy disputed the valley.

Each one of these forts is accessible by protected ways that are called  "double-caponnières". Napoleon remained in Colmars the Alps before his countryside of Italy and, to honour them, baptized temporarily the two forts of Colmars of the name of the marshals Soult and Desaix.

Colmars les Alpes is surrounded by a landscape where mix with harmony the Alpine and Mediterranean influences. Not far from the city, admire with a score of minutes of walk the cascade of the Lance.

To also note in Colmars the Alps the church Martin Saint. Rebuilt parès a fire, in 1672, it preserves nevertheless a side gate which goes back to 1530.

The Verdon runs along the village, but is not very visible there. The road which kills towards Castellane will allow you to follow the course, before attacking the gorges of the Verdon. Around Colmars the Alps, the forests with mountainside will be to you the occasion of excursions or, the winter, to devote itself to the pleasures of the ski touring.

Some stroll at the beginning of Colmars: Cascade of the Lance, Lacs of Lignin, Encombrette, panorama of Colletta, Ratéry with its botanical path, cascade of Chaumie…

The circuit " Retrouvance" a 6 days/5 night old circuit in mountain allows. Lodging in arranged huts of mountain any comfort. Possibility of the accompaniment.

Come to play the adventurers in our park of adventures with sensational workshops tree out of tree: tyroliennes, bridges of monkey, footbridges, which a tyrolienne of 130 meters and the largest Tarzan of the department.

The park includes/understands a small course for the 4/10 years: 12€ Large course including/understanding 4 levels.

Minimal size 1.70m raised arms.

The children of less than 14 years must be accompanied d' an adult.

Opened all the summer 7j on 7 starting from 10heures until 17:00 for the last departure. Night Thursday on reservation
