Discovering frangy

At the gates of Haute-Savoie, in FRANGY close to the river the Usses, you will discover in an old restored stable, an extraordinary collection of the objects, testimony of the country popular art. Pieces of furniture, bells, slaps and butter prints, cheese drainers, moulds with cheeses, tools, potteries. Reconstitution and setting in scene of a country cottage of the mountain pasture, with its material of dairy and a dwelling cattle shed with its benches trunks and its beds half-close and a room temporary exhibitions.

You will discover the collection there; objects of the communal museum of Eloise and the " House of the terroir" who belonged to regretted Marius Fillion: history, nature, archaeology, botany, mountain, objects old, painting, poetry…
Opening: every day from 14:00 to 17:00

TROPICALAND is a small animalist park of a kind with share, because it proposes to you for one or two visiting times, to venture you in a luxuriant jungle and to leave to discovered the animals sympathetic nerves which will make the joy of the children.

On the spot you will find services like a shop, a snack bar (2009)… and always celebrates it play of the young explorer.

 The river the Usses is known for its rain mode and its torrential character on most of its linear. It takes its source on the southern slope of the Salève Mount and is thrown in the Rhone, just upstream of the dam Seyssel. After having furiously circumvented the Salève Mount, it gains the throats of the Bridge of Ruail, tourist curiosity, and assagit then to the estuary of the Rhone.

 The cycle track of the Lake Léman at the Mediterranean sea, will make you discover the sumptuous landscapes of the basin of the Rhone, its preserved natural spaces, its inheritance and its ports.

In the Valley of Usses, the route arrives of the Genevese basin, circumvents Vuache by the villages of Arcine, Clarafond, Chessenaz. In Mons, to take Seyssel direction, where the cycle track is already in service.

This network of marked out paths can be also carried out on foot or in VTT. Throughout the route, you will discover patrimonial sites (private castles, churches, vaults…) and will admire beautiful panoramas.

You will cross famous Chemin of Saint Jacques de Compostelle. You will cross the Forest of Marlioz, last oak groves of plain of Haute-Savoie and famous for the biodiversity of its fauna and its flora.
