Built in 1756 by Jacques-Germain Soufflot, the Lyon's Opera takes part of the inevitables places. Formerly called the Grand Theatre, it's only after its rebuilding between 1827 and 1831 that it was given the name of "Opera". Art and Greek mythology enthusiasts will be dazzled discovering the 8 muses settled on the side wall. Ranked as a historical monument in 1905, the Fourvière's Roman Theatres Assocation is divided in four sites : the grand theatre, the Odeon, the Cybèle's sanctuary and the rests of a home-made district.
