Located on the right bank of the Loire in the department of Loir-et-Cher, the remarkable castle of Blois and its magnificent cathedral dominate the roofs and the narrow medieval streets in the two former parts of the city. Blois is a summary of French architecture with its magnificent old houses, its picturesque stairways, its important religious heritage and its period gardens.
At the heart of the region of the castles of the Loire, near the city, there are large natural areas and forests, but also over ten castles in 20 kilometers to visit and many private houses including the famous Castle of Chambord and the Castle of Cheverny. The Maison de la Magie in the center can be visited for visitors who would like to discover the history of magic and watch magic shows.
