Summer like winter, Puy Saint Vincent is an unforgettable holiday place. The village at the beautiful wood and stone-built houses offers a framework of varied leisures, combining natural and culture. To traverse the marked out paths, on foot (250 km), by rackets (25 km of the itineraries), to make ski touring (30 km of tracks), to descend the tracks of the station since the top of Pendine, to conquer the tops, to leave in VTT, to overcome the currents and the movements of Gyr and the Durance in raft, to dare a flight in parapente…

Puy Saint Vincent this is also a swimming pool, a toboggan of summer, of tennis, a center of horsemanship, two via ferrata, a school of the archery. Do not forget the treasures of the hamlets and vaults (frescos, sundials), the peace of the forests (Large Wood), the exceptional framework of the plate of Tournoux or small valley of Narreyroux.

The commune is composed a village at 1400 m high, a station raising between 1600m and 1800m high, of meadows, wood and ski slopes.

• Hamlets

The village is composed of three hamlets, spreading out through the slope:

Meadows: station-village comprising the trade and the access via the Chair-lift of the Meadows on all the skiable field.

Alberts: administrative center with the Town hall, the post office and the tourist office.

Puy: old chief town including the library and the communal oven still used nowadays.

• The station

The station 1600-1800 awelcomes the holiday makers be like winter. The face of snow is transformed at the beautiful season into ground of balls and miniature golf, departure of the toboggan of summer and many other activities.

Puy Saint Vincent is a commune located in the peripheral zone of the National park of the Ecrins.

Many strolls, discoveries and excursions are with range of the families like more sporting.

Many vestiges of the life formerly are still visible, and the village kept an interesting inheritance: vaults, churches, furnaces banals,…

The library has many books on the surroundings, as a broad choice of books for children and adults.

The hamlets of Puy Saint Vincent are strewn with civil and religious patrimonial elements. Certain buildings are visited (vaults, furnaces,…), others still carry traces of their evolution (a wheel of mill, a pulley with the balcony,…): open the eye! It is enough to take time to stroll in the village to discover with the corner of a fountain or a low wall a testimony of the life of formerly.

• Vault Saint-Romain (XII century)

Built on a rock headland dominating all the valley, it is about one of the oldest vaults of Vallouise. Very altered during the centuries, the Saint-Romain Vault was restored into 1977/1978 and was rehabilitated in Museum of the agricultural life of formerly and place of temporary exhibitions.

• Vault Saint-Vincent (XV century) (classified historic building)

Dedicated to Saint-Vincent, this small vault of pilgrimage was high after the arrival of Vincent Ferrier (a Dominican missionary come in Vallouise towards 1399/1403 in order to preach the fine words with many Of Vaud, regarded then as heretics by the Catholic church).

• Church Saint-Marie-Madeleine (XVI century)

Located on a rock hillock dominating the valley of Vallouise, it sheltered the Brotherhood of the Penitent blacks of the Meadows, which sat there at the platform. In 2000, the discovery of murals of the end of the XVIIème century having been used as interior decoration involved their complete restoration.

• Vault Saint-Roch (XVII century)

Located at the entry of the hamlet of the Meadows and overhanging the old single access road to Saint Puy Vincent, the Saint-Roch Vault was built about 1630, at the time of an appalling epidemic of plague which devastated Hautes-Alpes.

• Church Saint-Marthe (XIX century)

In the middle of the old man Saint Puy Vincent, the Saint-Marthe Church proudly draws up her bell-tower above the masonries which surround it.
