The Toulouse's Capitol

Le Capitole of Toulouse hosts the town hall of Toulouse and the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse. The building dates from 1190. This place is the heart of the city of Toulouse. It is the emblem of the city and is the location of municipal power for over eight centuries.

  • galleries of the court of Henri IV seventeenth century

The Basilica of Saint Sernin

The Basilica of Saint Sernin is a shrine built to house the relics of Saint-Saturnin of Toulouse bishop, martyred in 250.
Become one of the most important pilgrimage centers of medieval Europe. Saint-Sernin is the largest Romanesque church in Europe.

The Church of Our Lady of Dalbade

The Church of Our Lady of Dalbade is in the neighborhood of the Carmes in Toulouse. The current building, rather austere from the outside, is typical of the southern Gothic architecture.

The Church of St. Pierre des Cuisines

The Church of St. Pierre des Cuisines is the oldest church in the south-west France. It is built on an ancient Gallo-Roman necropolis of the fourth century.

The Abattoirs

The Slaughterhouse is a museum of modern and contemporary art of Toulouse. Originally, this building was used to slaughter animals before being transformed into a museum in 2000. The collection includes 2,000 works of Slaughterhouses in the second half of the twentieth century. It consists mainly of paintings, graphic works, and a small collection of sculptures and installations have to be developed.

The museum of old Toulouse

The museum of old Toulouse presents objects depicting the history of the city of Toulouse, from antiquity to the twentieth century. This museum was established since 1948 in Hotel Dumay, in the historic center of town. It is owned by the Company of Toulouse Toulouse Toulouse and Friends of old.

Roman Amphitheatre

The Roman Amphitheater in Toulouse, built in the mid-1st century AD. He is the only ancient monument in Toulouse still visible in its entirety.

The Bazacle

The Bazacle is a place of historic crossing of the Garonne since Roman times.

In 1190, a dam called the floor Bazacle and mills were built. They fueled the city into flour until the 19th of fub.

It was then converted hydroelectric plant still in operation today. Part of the building is open to the public and hosts exhibitions throughout the year.
