Musée d'histoire de Marseille

The Marseille History Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of the city of Marseille. Founded in 1983, it has been completely renovated and reopened on 14 September 2013 on the occasion of Marseille-Provence 2013.

Located in the Centre Bourse, near the Old Port, the Marseille History Museum houses the site of the Ancient Port, a 3,500 m2 permanent exhibition, a temporary exhibition space, a documentation centre and an auditorium, making it the largest urban history museum in France.
