Tourism Tourcoing

Tourcoing is a town in the Nord department with a population of about 90,000 inhabitants. It's situated near the cities of Lille and Roubaix and the Belgian frontier.

Visitors will enjoy a stroll in the pedestrian zones around Saint-Christophe Church, along the canal or in the public gardens. Tourcoing is a creative town and is building up cultural assets like the "Théâtre du Nord", the "Atelier Lyrique", and cultural events such as the Tourcoing Jazz Festival.

Sights

• Saint Christophe Church dating from the 15th and 16th centuries is considered one of the most beautiful Neo-Gothic buildings of the Nord department. Made of stone and bricks, it has an 80m high bell tower sporting more than 80 bells.
• Hospice de Havre was founded in 1260. The cloister and the chapel date from the 17th century.
• Town hall dating from 1885, in Napoleon III-style.
• Garden botanical of Tourcoing and arboretum.
