Piana

The calanques of Piana are coves located on the west coast of Corsica in Piana half way from Ajaccio and Calvi on the road by the sea.

After discovering the fabulous village of Piana, you can go hiking. The starting point is at the output of Piana, 100 meters after the bridge Mezzanu.

We advise you to hiking Capu Ortu. You will follow the path northwest of the stadium. Then you go up to the "Piazza Bocca Monica" (910 meters) and finally you reach the Capu of Ortu (alt. 1294 m). The hike takes about 6 hours (round trip).

The forest of Piana covers the hills of Pianetta, Capu D'ortu and the Foce d'Ortu. The path of Vittulu is a very nice walk leaving Piana road towards Porto.

From the church square , go down 4 km to the marina of Ficaghjola then pass via the hamlet of Vistale then reach the beautiful beach of Arone.
