Équihen-Plage is a town of 2943 inhabitants. On a surface of 381 hectares it offers a pleasant framework in edge of the English Channel. Declared common on April 4, 1939, Équihen-Plage has today the equipment of quality for the service of the population. Here all is made for the safeguarding of the exceptional site. " The wild girl of the mer" keep and preserves its maritime frontage jealously.

Small fishing port until the beginning of the century, Équihen-Plage became town in April 1939.

Its history is closely related to that of fishing.

The maritime landscape preserved all its beauty and its charm.

Rene Bazin in his novel " Gingolph l' abandonné" extremely described well the picturesque; Équihen-Plage is enorgueilli to be the stay of predilection for the artists and the painters: Caffier attended it at the beginning of the century, Gil Franco lived there, Chintreuil, Debrasse, Demizel, De Palézieux also worked and remained in Équihen-Plage  without forgetting Jean-Charles Cazin the painter of Bolted par excellence.

The town hall of recent construction and the Saint-Pierre church contain several tables of these artists.

Équihen-Plage knew to rebound, offering today the image of a modern city but near to the past which you will take pleasure to discover.

The beautiful beaches in Équihen-Plage

Équihen-Plage has a long fine sand's beach which extends from the estuary of Warenne in the South until the cliffs of the Cape d' Alprech in North.

Swimming with each tide, it offers an ideal space to the swmming, the walk, fishing by foot, the fishing of seaside and the practice of all the water sports.

The parks of the Hures

The park of the Hures is also the starting point of cycle tracks and footpaths until Outreau in North and until the beach in the South
