Le musée d'Art moderne et contemporain

The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Strasbourg is located on the banks of the Ill, right in the middle of Strasbourg’s historical city centre. It was inaugurated in 1998.

The building was designed around clarity and open spaces by the «Ateliers d’architecture AFA» a well known architect compagny. The collection gives an overview from 1870 to modern day and covers a geographic zone mainly centered on Western Europe and is the result of institutional and private contributors.
