Le Musée Archéologique
The Museum of Archaeology is housed in the Rohan Palace. This museum is one of the most varied and richest museum in France. The main focus is on National antiquities. The museum has reopened in 1992 after a complete museological reorganization of its collection, here, one is invited to discover the oldest details concerning Alsatian history, from Prehistory to the dawn of the Middle Ages.
The collections are improved regularly thanks to the local archeological excavations supplies. In addition, temporary exhibitions present the local archeology and contibute to the French archeological research.
