Musée de Préhistoire des Gorges du Verdon
The Museum of Prehistory of the Gorges du Verdon is located in the center of the Parc Naturel Régional. In bâtiement made of concrete, glass and steel, you will find a collection of archaeological pieces from 50 years of excavations in the Verdon.
Established in 2001 under the leadership of the General Council of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, this museum has three objectives: to preserve the archaeological heritage of Provence, participate in archaeological research and restitution to the public the result of excavations and studies.
Outside the museum you will see a reconstruction of former habitats in the village of Quinson.
