Château de Montal

The Castle of Montal regained all his works in the early twentieth century with the help of Maurice Fenaille. Then he gave the castle to the state after having himself chosen XVI and XVII centuries furniture. The present castle was built on the site of the fortress of the Lords of Miers. Castle is arranged around a monumental double staircase.

Outside two wings around the courtyard where the sculptures of the frieze is reminiscent of those castles of the Loire Valley, it's also have three round towers and a square tower with turrets. You can end your visit at the beautifully gardens.
