The Haute Vienne is a French department located in the region of Limousin in central France and is bordered by the departments of Charente, Corrèze, Creuse, Dordogne, Indre and Vienne.

Haute-Vienne enjoys a prime location on the ‘Plateau du Limousin’ where the landscape is an amazing collection of forests, valleys, escarpments and gorges.

Limoges is the capital of the Haute Vienne and also of the Limousin region and is located in the centre of the department with easy access with to its international airport.

Limoges has a stunning architecture such as the magnificent Gothic cathedral as well as examples of French property from almost every period. Due to its long history properties are a real mix and the city is full of medieval buildings but also traditional French stone buildings and houses in the renaissance style.

Limoges is also the city of the porcelain where its history began around the XIIIth century.
