The vineyards of Pauillac in the Medoc is one of the most prestigious in the world. A unique terroir of gravelly ridges gave birth to 18 classified growths in 1855 with the first three (Chateaux Lafite-Rothschild, Latour and Mouton-Rothschild).
In a tide of Bordeaux and the Pointe de Grave, Pauillac, with its marina, offers a possible stop at any time of day or night. It is an ideal stop for those who join the Atlantic to the Mediterranean through the Canal du Midi. For others who choose as their home port Pauillac, Gironde to reach in a few hours of many sea such as the Atlantic Ocean, Arcachon basin, Garonne and Dordogne rivers, or the lateral canal du Midi .
