Haut-Rhin is a French department that is part of the Alsace region located in eastern France. Haut-Rhin is a land of tradition, diversity and discovery, thanks to its rich heritage as well as its geographical position in the heart of Europe.

The typical architecture in the Haut-Rhin reflects a historical and artistic region with the Neuf-Brisach fortifications, the Landskron Castle, the Kaysersberg Castle, the Thann and Colmar Collegiates, the villages of Hunawihr, Eguisheim and Riquewihr, listed on ‘the most beautiful villages in France’ label and the town of Thann also listed on a similar label. In addition, the nature and the diversity of landscapes make the region an ideal place to hike, walk, and cycle.

There are numerous museums in Haut-Rhin: The ‘Cité du Train et la Cité de l’Automobile’ in Mulhouse, the ‘Ecomusée’ of Alsace in Ungersheim, the Unterlinden muséum in Colmar and the ‘Musée d’Impression d’Etoffes’ in Mulhouse.

In addition, Alsace and its delicious gastronomy that many visitors will enjoy while discovering the region via the ‘Route des vins d’Alsace’, the ‘Route des fromages’ in the Munster valley.
