Musée départemental de préhistoire Corse et d'archéologie
Covering an area of 1400 square meters, the museum of Sartène presents over 250,000 archaeological objects such as axes, iron spikes or menhir statues.
In this second archaeological museum of Corsica after Aleria, three exhibition halls are interconnected, in chronological order. The collections presented explain the history of human occupation of Corsica since the early ninth millennium BC until the Iron Age, around the fourth century BCE.
Temporary exhibitions and conferences on various themes related to archeology and heritage are also held throughout the year.
