Charolles organ days : benjamin alard

An instrument as remarkable as the Charolles organ must provide not only the extremely popular Market Concert series, but also a Festival during which some of the greatest works in the repertory can be heard. 

Three days, three concerts ...  and time to enjoy the subtle charm of the Charolais-Brionnais region and its treasures :  romanesque chapels nestling in the wooded countryside, the famous white Charolais cattle and the resulting delights of refined eating ...  these are pleasures which are entirely compatible with the colourful sounds of the organ !

Benjamin Alard is currently recording the complete keyboard works of J.S.Bach : for his concert in Charolles he will be playing works by Bach himself and the famous composers who inspired him at the start of his prodigious musical career (1695-1710), Frescolbaldi, Pachelbel, Böhm Grigny and Marchand.
