Musée archéologique de Nice


Established in 1960, the Archaeological Museum of Nice was originally in the ground floor of the museum today Matisse. It was not until 1989 that he was transferred to a site located on the remains of the ancient Roman city of Cemenelum building

The museum displays archaeological finds in the history of Nice, from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages (ceramics, glass, coins, jewelry, tools ...) and antique collections from other sites .

Many temporary exhibitions on archeology are also exposed.
