Exposition in vernais

The PEP18 and the Inventory Heritage Service (SPI) of the Centre-Val de Loire Region have joined forces to offer adolescents from the IME (Medico-Educational Institute) of Saint-Amand-Montrond, an establishment of PEP18 with mental disabilities and adults from Relais 18 in Bourges in a situation of social insecurity to take part respectively in a photo workshop and a video filmmaking workshop.

Accompanied by a professional photographer, they traveled the Berry Canal to 10 sites to photograph the various heritage structures with their own eyes: bridges, locks, weirs, lock keepers' houses, dams, and to highlight the specificity of the various sites to enable everyone to become aware of the notion of Heritage.

The relationship to heritage, whether architectural or human, is at the heart of this approach. It was about discovering a territory and its riches and sharing this experience with those who live there.

This is why the restitution of this project is done through a traveling photographic exhibition on all the sites that hosted the shots and the distribution of the video.

The videographer accompanied the group of adults for the production of the film, which has a heritage theme as its main backdrop, supplemented by film archives loaned by Ciclic centre-Val de Loire.

These "film traces" used as creative material have been associated with monochrome photographs.
