Castle of hohlandsbourg

Built in the thirteenth century, the castle Hohlandsbourg almost falls into oblivion 500 years later. Now partly restored, this historical monument Wintzenheim worth a visit. Recent work (2011-2013) performed by the Crupi Architects firm Colmar and the agency Bach Nguyen, associate architect, gave a new impetus to the site. The new face of the castle respects its identity while opening the way for a contemporary interpretation. The castle has a space for permanent and temporary exhibitions, an outdoor theater, an educational center, a brewery and an open receptions and events hall.
