Inaugurated by the president of the Republic François Mitterrand in 1988, the house of the Book, the Image and the Sound is the work of the Swiss architect Mario Botta.

The place spreads out on 7 levels and proposes 3 500m ² of functional space.

The light is present thanks to the central light shaft which covers all the floors.
