Vaucluse is a French department that is part of the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region located in the South-East of France. It is surrounded by the departments of Gard, Ardèche, Drôme, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Var and Bouches-du-Rhône. Main cities are Avignon, Apt and Carpentras.

The main holidays destination in the department are Lubéron, Avignon and the region of Mount Ventoux. The other destinations are located throughout the department. Sites and places of interests are: Vaison la Romaine, Beaumes de Venise, Carpentras, Bedoin, Cavaillon, Orange, Pernes les Fontaines, Apt, Gordes, Pertuis, Sault, Mount-Ventoux and Luberon. The Popes palace and the Avignon Bridge, the ‘Ocres of Roussillon’, numerous churches and castles dating from the middle age, antique theatre and many more.

Among the festivals and other cultural events are the ‘Hivernales de la danse’ in February in Avignon, the ‘nuits des musées’ and ‘Fête du Vin’, the Avignon Festival and the Festival of Carpentras, the ‘Fête du melon’ in Cavaillon, the ‘Estivales in Carpentras’, the Festival of La Sorgue in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
