Parmain / Jouy-le-Comte 's extend over an area of 948 hectares for a population of 5413 inhabitants.The common Parmain is located on the right bank of the Oise, about thirty miles from Paris, and is part of the Vexin Regional Park. In the twelfth century Parmain was formerly a hamlet of Jouy-le-Comte, located north of Parmain.The southern portion known as the "seams" adjoins the village of Butry. In this territory you can find now a shopping center, a sports complex and a residential area. To the west the plateau has remained a field of crops and woodland, overlooking the valley of Nesle-la-Vallée and where we can have a view of L'Isle-Adam located on the left bank of Oise.
