Montcaret is a French commune, located in the Dordogne and Aquitaine.

Halfway between Bergerac and Libourne, between the river and vineyards (Saint Emilion and Pécharmant) village is situated in the valley of the Dordogne. It houses one of the richest Villa Gallo-Roman France and Europe, built in the 1st century of our era.
