Discover the town of grendelbruch

Grendelbruch history is closely related to the Guirbaden castle history, a feudal fortress dating from the 11th century and located 3 km from the village. it was destroyed in the 17th century, although the living part of the fortress and the dungeon still remain.

In addition, there is a great view from the ruins on the surrounding forests, the plain of Alsace and the Bruche Valley.

Since the dawn of time, Grendelbruch lives according to its forests. From this perfect union a old tradition in forestry was born and the lumberjacks are still impressive.
