There was a strong castle in Vendeuvre in 1107. Crossing the years, undergoing the war outrages, the castle of Vendeuvre had known many transformations. Some famous families resided in the castle: the Luxembourg, the Mesgrigny and the Vendeuvre who bequeathed it to their nephew Bourlon of Sarty. The last descendant, René Bourlon of Sarty, donated it in 1978 to the Aube district and to the town of Vendeuvre on Barse. Classified as an historic monument, the castle is still on restoration, and cannot be visited for security. But the park is opened to visits. In summer there is a sound and light show, and a Fall Festival. The Barse river starts under the castle.

Classified as an historic monument, the church Saint-Pierre was destroyed during the wars of the 15th century and found his current style at the time of his reconstruction between 1510 and 1530. Very damaged again during the last world war, it was restored and returned to the service in 1963. Its Latin cross shape contains true treasures, such as the master altar, the baptismal funds, the retable, stained glass windows, statues and very old pictures. The pulpit comes from the Abbaye de Clairvaux. A welcome is reserved to the public to visit the church, every Sundays of July and August from 14.00 to 18.30.
