The 'pays de serres'

The most ancient village in the Lot-et-Garonne, founded in 1246, offer great views on the area. One can walk around the city walls and visit the church that has a gate dating from the 13th century and houses dating from the 15th century.

The listed vestiges of the important abbey located in the heart of the village are dating from the 11th century.

In 778, this village was marked by the passing of the army of Roland, a Charlemagne's wandering knight. According to the legend, the fountain of St Germain healed most of the very ill soldiers.

This unusual village has an hexagonal shape tower located in the heart of the village. It is the first part of the bishop of Agen palace and the 'Rovere' that wan never completed.
