Large wet land of about 1000 ha, owned by the 'Conservatoire du Littoral', The natural reserve of the Orx Marshes (800 ha) is ideally located  for migrations.

The hydrolic infrastructures dating from the 19th century allowed the formation of diverse habitats for birds, which makes this site a very important stop for migrating birds.
