Circuit of the mountain - 7km -1h45

This walk offers a detour Plounéour-Lead the heart of the Monts d'Arrée. You will discover a village with a rich historical and architectural heritage.

 
DESCRIPTION STEP

Before departing, take the time to visit the church and its churchyard, one of the jewels of the famous circuit paddock. You'll appreciate the triumphal arch of the seventeenth century and the monumental gate constituting one of the key pieces of the enclosure.

The church one 50m turn left then follow the road further to the left. Cross the main road. 50 m away, take the road towards Guirhoël 2.
Cross the village and take the road signposted a little further to the right. Go to the left of a wash and continue on the right path.

At the next fork, follow the path right towards Tan 3 Maen or "flint". Then you cross the moor, follow the marked path. You find yourself at the crossroads of three paths, take the one to your left.

At the next intersection, always follow the marked path opposite. Another bifurcation occurs a little further, then take right. At the next junction, continue on the path in front. In turn, follow the path to the left. Walk about 500m and continue slightly right.

At the junction of four roads, turn left towards Pen-ar-Prajou. You are on the old Roman road which connects to Carhaix Tolente, ancient city which was in the vicinity of Plouguerneau.

Cross the hamlet of Pen-ar-Prajou and follow the road. At 500 m, take the path that goes left into the turn and continue straight. You pass a water tower and get on the road you turn left.

Turn left immediately after the cross of Rector "Croaz ar Person" 4. By following this path, you come back to Guirhoël. You can now reach the town by the same path as the go.
