Visit the city of thiviers

Thiviers, charming city in the center of green Périgord, was one of the main strong cities in Périgord in the middle age. You'll find a strong place built around a church and three castles : Les Pélisses located opposite to the church and shaved in 1790 (now Place Foch), the castle of Vaucocourt behind the church and the castle of Banceil using first as a defense now transformed into appartments.

The theulier park

The fleuron of Thiviers, is his park. It was a private park at the beginning of 20th century. This romantic place inspired a novel to Léonce Bourliaguet "Le Parc aux Prêles". The park was sold to the town as well as the house that became the current Town Hall.
