day-1

Departure: From the centre of Beaulieu, take the avenue Lobbé towards LiourdresAcross from the Renault garage sits the old station "Gare du Tacot". Further on your left, you can see the "Port Bas" chapel and 300m further the salmon incubator, just past the Tartarel creek.

You have gone 3Km. We suggest you visit the Estresses castle (1h 30mn). Then, continue towards Liourdres.

3 Km from the castle, you will see on your left the Rocher de Carbe grotto. A bit further, stop to admire the view of the castle of Castelnau. In Liourdres, notice the 12th century church.  A slight incline past the village leads you to Puybrun. Right after the village sign, there is a sharp left bend in the road; take it to avoid the roundabout. At the stop sign, cross carefully to get on the main road on your left. Enter Bretenoux, beautifully restored 12th century fortified town worth the visit. Enter it through the Place des Consuls.  Take the rue d’Orlinde jup  to the stop sign. Continuez straight until you reach Prudhomat and follow the signs to the château de Castelnau that you can visit. Continue on this same road and circle the castle on the left. It is all downhill to Bretenoux

At thestop sign, turn righ to the roundabout. Go through Bretenoux & turn right on the D940 after the bridge to Beaulieu.
