Slipping between the Mount of the Beaujolais wine and the plate of Dombes, the Valley of the Saone unrolls between Taponas, Belleville and Dracé mosaîque of remarkable natural environments worked by the human activity: islands, lônes, alluvial forests, grazed or mown meadows and marshes will enable you to discover an exceptional fauna and a flora, the such ashy purées or the fritilaire guinea fowl.

Sail on the Saone: In pleasure boat or board a boat with passengers, to observe the banks of the Saone with comments, and cross the locks by admiring the vineyard on the heights.

Opened in 1733 with 14 beds for poor people and then enlarged over the years up to 19th century, Belleville’s Hôtel-Dieu was in service until 1991.

It has been perfectly preserved and is a faithful reminder of hospital life. Here you will find the apothecary and its rich collection of earthenware, porcelain and glass, the council chamber with its precious archives, the chapels with exhibitions of sacred art and the three wards that are still fully furnished.
