With more than 10.000 inhabitants and a surface of 2.115 hectars, the town of Saint-Cyr military school is a commune of the agricultural origin, fruits, vegetables, olive-trees and especially the vine.

The Tauroeuntum museum was built on the Roman archaeological site called « villa maritima built in the 1rst century (AD), it shelters  3 beautiful mosaics  in  black and white ,  a remarkable « house-tomb », old glassware, funeral lamps,  currency, and some rare objects such as a twisted column in white marble from 1st and 2nd century).

ST CYR SUR MER is proud of getting, on the main square called Portalis, a real small-scale model of the statue of Liberty, on the base you can see the signature of the sculptor Bartholdi.

Inaugurated and offered by Anatole Ducros a rich landowner of st cyr sur mer in 1913, for the first drinking water system in the city, the statue was built entirely with cast-iron and gilded in gold leaf.

The law of December 31, 1976 instituting a right of way of a width of 3m along the littoral, and the law littoral of January 1986 allowing the creation of a transverse constraint the shore, give again truly life with the path renamed " path of the littoral"

When you take this two kilometer walk which starts in La Madrague (Avenue Abbé Dol), you will discover traditional Provencal landscapes : vineyards, olive groves, various plants, shrubs and trees on this theme path.
