This charming small village is on D2565, between Nice and Saint-Martin-Vésubie, opposite Roquebillière. Drawing its name from Latin bellumvidere, beautiful point of view, perched at 838 m high, it deserves its name well.

  • Points of interest

The center of the village with its small narrow streets, its curious parish church Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul, of the XVII century, flanked in one of its angles, a quadrangular stone bell-tower made up of tuff, surmounted by a lantern.

Inside, one can admire many liturgical objects of processions, reliquaries, a splendid pulpit out of wooden painted of XII century.

Around, four restored vaults: Planet, Saint-Grat, Saint-Blaise and Saint-Anthony. The Cooperative dairy, located at the center of the village, became a museum of Milk, where one can see all the old ustensils formerly being used for manufacture of milk and cheese.

For the visit,  address to Tourist office.

At the end of each summer, in general the last weekend of September, a great village festival celebrates the end of transhumance and the return of the herds, with fifres and tambourines, exposure of the old trades of formerly, blacksmiths, basket makers, marshal-shoeing and of the collective banquets.
