Arboretum de Balaine


The arboretum Balaine is one of the oldest in France. The visitor is welcomed into a haven of peace and greenery, which represents the former botanical garden and floral. This English-style park was created in 1804 by Aglaia Adanson and is located around a castle Bourbonnais which is still inhabited. The park is classified as a historical monument since 1993 and offers visitors a mixture of English gardens of the nineteenth century and exotic collections. The collections of this park is spread over 20 hectares, accounting for more than 2500 varieties were planted 200 years ago. This park has the ability to transport the visitor into another world which mixed coniferous and deciduous trees of all backgrounds.
