Musée des Augustins


The Museum of Augustins is located in an old building built in the seventeenth century. Inaugurated in 1927, the museum traces the local history and tells the popular tradition.

The visitor can see a reconstruction of a traditional Flemish cuisine . It also has French paintings of the nineteenth and twentieth century as well as paintings of Veterans Southern Netherlands .

A gallery is devoted to sacred art, with sculptures and religious paintings from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries .
