Muséum d'histoire naturelle


The musée d’histoire naturelle is one of the first public museum founded just after the French Revolution. The collections are from rich and private natural history exhibition rooms. The collection on zoologie presents species such as mammals, birds, reptiles, fishes, shells and butterflies from around the world.

An important part of the museum is dedicated to local wildlife with mammals, coastal birds, predatory birds from the Pyrenees and local fishes. The museum is an essential environmental model.
